Matrix Construction, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Todd Needham, a carpenter who grew up in the business (his father is a retired carpenter). We have on staff the finest carpenters who have been with the company for many years.
We have low overhead, are licensed, insured, financially sound, trusted, and stable. We are experienced and honest, and we warranty our work. Over 40 references are available upon request.
Matrix is centrally located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Process
Planning/Design
We work with you through the entire process, design to completion.
We don’t have architects and designers on staff, because that can create a “cookie-cutter” result in designs. Instead we’ll introduce you to the best architects and designers in West Michigan and beyond. This way, we have no bias on designs (or the overhead that goes with it) and it allows us to provide you with choices that meet your individual needs.
Bidding
It's impossible to compare apples to apples in this business. You can see how the bottom lines compare with rival bidders, but deciphering exactly what's behind those figures is nearly impossible.
We plug in realistic numbers, allowing for the best materials and tradesmen. If our numbers are in line with the ones you had in mind, great. If not, we'll work with you to adjust the scope of the project to fit your budget.

Financing
If you're not sure where to turn for financing, we can refer you to local lenders who have experience on projects similar to yours.
